I REPLACED MY GARBAGE DISPOSAL! 1/2 HP OF (QUIET) FURY. IT’S A NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE. MOSTLY BECAUSE THE OLD ONE STOPPED WORKING MONTHS AGO.

Next step... Build a bathroom vanity to replace the nasty 70's one I'm currently living with, and redo all of the questionable plumbing.

The bearings in mine are bad so every now and then when you turn it on it doesn’t turn, just hums (motor stalled). Fortunately a 1/4" allen wrench in the bottom can break the rotor free, and it works fine after that. Some day I really should replace that.

Mine fried so I just got rid of it and straight piped it. Seems to run better than ever.

That's where I was at for about a year. Then it stopped clearing even with the wrench, and food built up inside. Yuck.

I considered that, but they both take about the same amount of time to do and I didn't want to be super careful about food scraps in the sink so....
